De ronde van Hageveld
Every year, students take part in the Ronde van Hageveld, a running event in which participants complete two laps around the school — one long and one short. It sounds simple, but the combination of distance and speed makes it a real challenge for many.
The long lap leads runners around the outer edges of the school grounds, passing the sports fields and green areas. After that comes the short lap, which has more turns and circles closer around the main building. The second lap is often the toughest part, as students must keep their pace while fatigue starts to build.
A special part of the event is the standing record. The fastest time recorded was set by Lucas Nieuweboer in 2012, with an impressive finishing time of 5:28. Each year, students try to challenge this record.
